In thanks to Ponhand, for his generous contribution to my coloring contest ( he did a wonderful job, you should see it) and for all the beautiful and original art displayed on his site this is a brief and inadequate contemplation of his work. Keep in mind I am no art critic and my words are simply to celebrate and encourage any wayward soul who comes across my journal to plug in the name and favorite some works of joy of his.

In the short time I have known Ponhand on Deviant Art I have come to notice and appreciate the constant evolution of his work. Primarily there were photos, unique and individualistic, showing great appreciation for the soft palate of nature and some times even the human form. Then came the inspiration that led to avalanches of color, geometric and sudden which melted into these thoughtful works of pencil and soft light.

In all there seems to be a candidness to his work and a openness for experimentation and I look forward to anything more he has to offer in the future.
